feeling faint

Had a funny five minutes at work today was quite happy and then all of a sudden went extremely hot (sweat down my back hot), felt the colour draining away and felt like I was going to pass out any second. I know it's normal to feel faint but is it normal so feel so hot with it? I had a lie down and was feeling fine with 10 minutes

Hormones, hormones, hormones. (oh and the increase in blood volume)

Drinking water, lying down, eating small regular meals all seem to help. I would get this myself... Rush of heat - world is spinning - stomach wants to heave - then the fainting spots in front of my eyes. Mine got better at around 14 weeks.

Good luck!

Always scared the bejesus out of my DH too... I guess I had the oddest look on my face when it would happen.

IA with Michele. You may need to increase your caloric intake. I have to eat every two hours or I'll get sick. A cereal bar or piece of fruit usually does the trick.

You need to avoid hot places and being in any one position for too long, and make sure you are eating small amounts regular and drinking plenty. x
