Hi

I had an early (but not missed) MC in mid March - that was after 11 months of TTC. I am also 35.

We took a cycle off after the MC: to heal physically and emotionally. My period was 20th April, then we conceived again the first month of TTC again.

So far (everything crossed!!!) so good. Had a scan last Wednesday, have another one booked for 3 weeks on Tuesday.

I was surprised and very happy to conceive again so quickly, we did everything to maximise our chances:
- Husband was taking Zinc tablets (he has a low sperm count, mobility and morphology and had just started taking them before we first got pregnant in Feb).
- We BDd throughout the time that I thought that I would be ovulating - we did it 8/9 days in a row in the end.
- I was using OPKs too. It turned out that I ovulated late, but we carried on BDing for about 4 days after the LH surge. So the whole ovulation time was WELL covered.
- I insisted that husband finished "missionary". I know that a lot of people think this is unnecessary, but whenever he has finished in other positions we have "lost" a bit (fallen/squeezed out). Sorry, TMI.
- After husband has finished, we put a pillow under my hips and I sat there (with legs in the air) for 20 to 30 minutes (normally until my legs were pain with numb).

I don't know which bits of it worked, but we conceived again. It may have also helped that - having been pregnant (although it ended in MC) recently - my body "knew" how to get pregnant... not sure.

Very, very good luck

QT

Seven Seas "Zinc Plus Vitamin C" (the Vit C helps the Zinc get absorbed). Husband took two a day (men can take up to four a day though).

We saw a gyneacologist about a week after the MC (about the MC and Fertility) and he said that although the MC was obviously very sad, the positive side of it was that we HAD gotten pregnant naturally. So we could do it and, therefore, we could do it again. He was right.

Different things work for different people. The approach we took this time is what I would call a "belt and braces" approach - some of it may have been unnecessary, but none of it could have hurt. It was also the approach that we had taken in Feb (just before we got pregnant and had the MC). So it seems to work for us.

Fingers crossed for you. Stay positive, but try not to wind yourself up too much (difficult I know - that BFP is the most desired thing int he world after an MC).

First of all sorry for your losses

I had an early (but not missed) miscarriage on 13th February and conceived again on the 27th February, and so far this pregnancy has been going incredibly well (aside from the sickness)

I never ever expected it would happen so quickly for us after the MC but obviously we were delighted.

Good luck, i hope your is just around the corner!

So sorry for your losses sweetheart

I'm 36 (years young ) & sadly had a miscarriage at 8+1, I passed my baby on Monday April 6th, then, to my total joy (& surprise) I was so, so lucky to get my BFP on Monday 8th June so I *think* I am heading towards 7 weeks tommorrow, but could be later as I didn't have a period in-between.

Don't lose hope, it will happen for you- & you can always tell the M/C survivors over here- we are the ones not moaning & whinging beacause we realise how bloody lucky we are to be here

Good luck to you & your OH & look forward to seeing you over here VERY soon

I had MMC in february, we tried for first couple of months but I didn't regain my period until 10 weeks later by which time I'd run out of enthusiasm. Once back on track took temps and did OPK which helped me work out exactly when o'd and was pg next month. It's been a bit of a bumpy ride and will continue to be worried at least until this fri when I get reassurance scan, but it can be done! I guess that 2 -3 months was pretty good going and lucky - hope you get the same luck hun
