| Your Doctor may do a pregnancy test, but more often than not they do not bother nowadays as HPT are very reliable. You will be asked about your last AF and then given a due date, s/he should explain how the care works in your area, i.e If your care is shared between the MW's and the GP or the MW's alone. You will also be told roughly how often you will be seen. You will have your blood pressure done and then possibly given your Emma's Diary bits and bobs (information). You will also be referred to a MW for your first booking in appointment which will be around 10wks usually, (which is where they do a general check, weigh you and take both you and your OH family history and make your notes up ready for you to carry around for the duration of your pregnancy). And then have a chance to ask any questions you may have. x |
