At what stage are cravings usually?


Does anyone know?

Hiya,

Im 13 weeks and have been craving fruit n veg for about the past 6 weeks I cant seem to get enough strawberries, grapes, carrots, cherry tomoatoes and pineapple.... not to mention green giant niblets which I eat straight out the tin he he

There is no stage hun, cravings can come at any time they choose really. With my 1st i didn't get a craving til i was about 6mth & it was for frosted shreddies for 2 wks, i had the odd phase where i wanted something for 3 days but that's it.

This time i'm 15wks & i had a phase for prawn cocktail for 2 days , now nothing. I just seem to be very thirsty more than anything

even in the 2ww i was craving alcohol and i'm not a big drinker LOL! Obviously not going to give in to that one.

ah thanks ladies! Mine seems to be fruit juice mainly Apple - quite consistantly but its more like i see an advert for frosties and i have to have them or i drive by macdonalds and i have to have a milkshake - that sort of thing!!

Seem to be going through stages and i wasn't sure if that was cravings or not because people at work have said things like i wanted digestives with beetroot all the time or pickled onions with ice cream, and i have had nothing odd like that!!!

Cravings are just your body's way of telling you what you need that isn't in your diet. I guess if you want fruit juice then you either need fruit, vitamins, sugar or all of the above.

I was watching Friends on E4 a few weeks ago which is sponsored by Mars Planets. I don't like the sweets, but it really made me want a Mars Bar! A couple of days later I went to my mum's as (as normal) she reeled off a list of treats that she had in the cupboard to go with my cup of tea. About 3 down the list was Mars Bar, I made her stop there and go get my one! I think that was advertising rather than a craving though - ha ha.

Hi

If you are drinking a lot of fruit juice, you may want to invest in a box of straws - protect your lovely teeth from all that acid (women have more delicate teeth during prgenancy anyway - when a lot of the vits/minerals go to baby instead of them...)

Not a lot of "cravings" as such at the moment (although prefer savoury to sweet), but developing a few adversions (two new ones at dinner last night )

Hiya love

I am the same with fruit juice i can't get enough of it! I am also craving sweet things at night like chocolate and ice cream and i am not usually like that, i jsut can't stop myself though!

i am 11wk and this started last week

QTPie - good point about the straws! i have really bad tooth ache the last 2 days!!!!

Funny i used to be mad over chocolate - brownies, biscuits all sorts i have totally gone off all of that and have hardly had any choclate or anything chocolatey at all!

i think its true about craving what your body needs - i've been really enjoying veg too!!

Tht tooth thing reminds me of a class experiment that we did at primary school - teeth in various test tubes of liquids (those in fizzy drinks or fruit juices didn't last long at all - the acid just wears it away...)

Same here... well I have never been made on chocolate, cakes, biscuits or junk food, but I am even more adverse to it now... my body just doesn't need it or want it. It just needs regular, healthy food.
