Don't feel pregnant, just feel ill...

Hi girls

I'm 8+5 today. Until about 7 weeks I was getting funny twinges and cramps and backache, and I felt quite pregnant. But since 7 weeks my MS has got much worse (not much vomiting, but nausea all the time), and the funny pains and twinges have disappeared. My boobs are only mildly sore when I press them. I just don't feel pregnant any more - just ill and exhausted!

I had a very early m/c in February, and I keep panicking that I'm going to go for a 12 week scan and there'll be no heartbeat. I had an emergency scan at 6+6 after a bit of bleeding, and we saw the heartbeat, but it only stopped me from worrying for about 2 days. I just keep reading about mmc and thinking that maybe my body is just playing tricks on me and my bean isn't growing any more.

Sorry to be so negative - I'm trying to relax but get so scared!!

Does anyone else not really feel pregnant, but just as if they've got a hangover, or the flu but without the fever?

hi hun, sorry about your loss,

i'm only 6 weeks, and as of yet, had no MS, just tired, backache, and tummy twinges.. last few days feel feeling ill! got a cold, blocked ears, feeling sic but not being, and the only food i can eat is chicken/sausages.... very strage, can't wait for this to go!!

i'm sure everything is fine with you hun, if i don't get belly discomforts for a day i go mad with worrying!

aww hun - i'm sure most of us can sympathise with you! i feel so unhappy at being ill at the moment and it seems like i will never feel well again! I know thats a bit dramatic but when you don't feel yourself for so long you forget what you felt like before - so full of energy and could eat normally! I'm not sick yet but i am off a lot of foods that i used to love before and need to eat little and often otherwise it makes me feel sick. I just feel completely exhausted and just generally ill!

try not to worry hun - i'm sure everything is fine with your ickle baby xxx

Hi - I just feel really tired at the minute. If I wake up too early I feel a bit sick, but I never actually am, I guess that's kind of like a hangover. My boobs got a bit bigger to start with, but seem to have stablised for now I think. I'm really happy that I'm not throwing up and feeling really rubbish all the time but when you hear that other people are it makes you wonder doesn't it?
I have my scan on Friday, can't wait to see bubs and check all is ok....

I am around 8 weeks and for the past 5 days I haven't been hungry AT ALL like I was the previous weeks and I don't have to pee anywhere near as much as I did. However, I feel soooo sick. Randomly gagging. I'm only 18 and have no idea what's going on. I know that doesn't help u much but I am in the same boat.

Yes, it feels like a LONG LONG hangover and the flu plus the exhaustion~

p/s -How does Michelle Duggar (the lady pregnant w/ her 19th) do it? ......the exhaustion just hinders me so much~

I know exactly where you are coming from. I've lost two little beanies before. Always around 6-7 wks and with neither of these pregnancies I had MS. Any woman worries, but when you actually experienced a loss yourself it's lot more intense.

It seems though noone really feels pregnant at this stage. It is all about feeling ill! I'm always tired, but some nights I don't sleep well, I feel nauseated throughout the day, the worst is morning and evening.

Hang in there! With all those symptoms I'm sure all will be fine at your 12wks scan.

Haha thanks for the replies girls - I just popped in from 2nd tri and was amazed to see my name under a thread - someone must have unearthed it!

So if anyone is reading this with similar complaints to my original ones - I can now speak with a small degree of wisdom and say that yes, you can feel dreadful to start with, but it does get better!

the whole feeling ill and drunk/hungover is the symptom of pregancy... dont worry about it hun its all perfectly normal i feel the same and did with my previous 2 pregancies x x
