I just got back from my 12 wk visit and got to hear the HB again! They said if they couldn't find it via the fetal doppler they would have to do an ultrasound (which I was SO hoping for, cause I want another one!), but they did find it. The HR is in the 160's, which she said was good and she said the bubbley/wooshing sounds that we could hear was the baby kicking and moving around! Totally cool! She also gave me a prescription for some anti-nausea meds cause my all-day sickness hasn't gotten any better, so I hope that helps, but I am SO HAPPY that we got to hear the HB again! YAY! Next appt, 12/24 for another HB..then, 4 weeks after that...ANOTHER ULTRASOUND! WOO HOOO!

Don't you just love hearing the hb. It is just the best!! Fantastic news that things are going so well. Sorry you are sooo nauseous!

it must be so comforting to hear the heartbeat even if you don't get to see everything. Hope the antisickness pills work!

Thanks y'all! I read the side effects of the drug they gave me and I'm kinda worried about taking it. The SE's sound worse than being sick. When I called the doc to make sure it was the drug they wanted me on, they said, "Yep, that's what we prescribe for paitents with hyperemesis gavardium." Joy...I didn't realize that is what I had, but it sounds right (looked it up online and such) and turns out I have a mild case of it. Ick

Aww well hopefully you wont get any side effects... I think they just have to write them down just incase. Ive never heard my baby's heartbeat yet and Im desperate too! The doctor and my OH said they could both see it going on the ultrasound but I just couldn't make it out at all!
