had my first midwife appointment today didnt find it useful to be honest the midwife was lovely but there is nothing they can do till after my dating scan between 9-12 weeks which seems forever and ever away. i dont know what i was expecting to be honest but i was there for a total of about 15 mins and that was it they didnt even take blood or test my urine which i thought they would of. Oh well i just have to wait for my letter through the post now

It's very frustrating. Is it just me or do days feel like weeks? Hope you keep alright & you get your next date asap

no your right hun the weeks are definately dragging it is gonna be after xmas when i have this scan which seems ages and ages away

I felt the same when i went for my 1st midwife appointment. I wanted some sort of confirmation that i was pregnant and things were progressing ok but all i got were the do's and dont's of pregnancy and my blood pressure checked.

I think 8 weeks is a really long time to wait for your first scan. Nothing we can do but wait tho i suppose

Im the same now even though Ive had my scan... I want to know whats happening all the time and keep seeing people about it because then it feels more real! It will pass quite quickly though.

Its still exciting though! haha
