I'm Currently Feeling: | Theres some conflicting information on this ... personally I would speak to your GP about it rather than looking it up on the net etc. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've only ever heard it's entirely safe until the last few weeks when we should stay put! The radiation you get in short flights is not dangerous - imagine being an air hostess.
I'll also be flying 1.5 hours to see family at christmas when I'll be 10 weeks.
if you find any evidence to the contrary please do post! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think the best thing you can do is check with your doctor.
I´m an air stewardess but am grounded now on the advice of my doctor - I know of plenty of people at work who have contined to fly in the first three months and they were fine. Its just not a risk I particularly wanted to take - that said on a short haul flight you are not submitted to that much radiation - for me the main risk of flying and working was pulling a heavy drinks trolley up and down the aisle and being hit by sudden turbulence - I´ve experienced the drinks trolly lift in the air before and it ain´t nice!. As a passenger you are seated, belted and can go to sleep if you feel like it - all the things that I can´t do when I´m working!!! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Check with you doc to get the best answer I suppose. I have only heard of it being a problem in your last trimester. I was flying quite a bit during my second tri and my doc saw no problem with it. |

| Just drink plenty of water to keep hydtated, move around when possible to avoid DVT and you'll be fine.
Air stewardesses are grounded because although they are only exposed to low levels of radiation, this can be over long periods during many long haul flights, which adds up over the months. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | It is no problem. I went to Cuba when I was 11 weeks on a 3.5 hr flight there and back. All good! |

| I'm flying to the Las Vegas for Xmas. I'll be around 15 weeks then. Would this be seen as a problem? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hmm...I will have to fly about 2.5 hours each way in late April (which for me should put me at about 6 months, give or take a few weeks. Sounds like that could be problematic? I'm supposed to be in a friends wedding, and I'm also making her wedding cake... | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I just got back from a 6 hour flight coast to coast, my doctor told me you just aren't allowed to travel after 36 weeks. Other than that, it's perfectly safe. Drink lots of water and makes sure you get up and move around so that your feet don't get real swollen. If you are traveling with someone put your feet on their lap to elevate them. I was lucky enough to sit behind the bulkhead and I got to put my feet up on that the entire flight. Also, sit in the aisle so you can get out to pee! |
