Early Pregnancy Scan - dates are later than i thought?

Hi Everyone

I had a scan on the weekend. They call it a reassurance scan as i have had a previous miscarriage. ANyway.. as i've been "trying" i am fully aware of my dates etc but they measured the baby as being 7 weeks on the day when i was 8 weeks (according to my dates)... Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks
Jen x

Uhm.. Family doctor told me I was 7weeks and 3days.. I went in for an ultrasound (that's what you mean with a scan right?) and gyneacologist told me I'm 6weeks and 2days.

Quite normal. You don't know the exact day and time that egg and sperm did their business. I know sperm can live for several days. Nothing to worry about. Happy pregnancy

I think I am in the same boat only difference maybe its that u saw ur little one.

I should have been 6 weeks and 1 day and sac measured 4w 5d. No baby, nothing in it.
Doc has asked me to see him after 2weeks, miscalculation might have occured as maybe we ovulate later than thought. I hope this is my case, thank God u saw ur little one, at least.

Good luck

Very few people measure their dates untill 12WK. I still don't measure up completely but I'm sure I will on 20WK scan ! Aslong as babies O.K. I really seem no cause for concern x
