Spicy Food

Hi all

Tonight I am off for an Indian, I love hot spicy food. I have read somewhere your not supposed to have spicy food? Is this true? and if so, should i be suggesting somewhere else to eat or opt for a milder dish?!?

I thought it was for the last 3 months you're not meant to eat spicey food. I've been eating currys every now and then. I think a one off should be fine? If you're worried though.. Chicken Korma is mild. Not sure about anything else.

I know how you feel Jules - I love spicy food, the hotter the better! My favourite Chinese dish is done Szechuan style (a style of cooking from central China in which they put loads of chillies in).

But now that I am pregnant, I'll probably just have to have a mild dish if I go out!

As far as I know, you should only avoid them if you suffer with heartburn.........I have never heard about avoiding them for any other reason.

I asked my doc about this, because I eat very hot (raw fresh tabasco's and mdm jeanettes) but he said I could eat during pregnancy, but not while breastfeading.
