My Manager has no tact!

My manager at work knows about me being preggo due to being of sick last week, but she has no tact!

I have quite a belly already - even though I'm size 14 and not fat anywhere else! she made some comments about - watch what I eat and am I getting enough exercise! She asked how I was, I said tired - she said you're only 10 weeks how can you be tired what are you gonna be like when your 30 weeks!

Well sorry - but I am hardly eating due to nausea and no appetite and I'm so tired I don't exactly feel like an aerobic work out!

She made comments about her belly being flat until she was 6 months and she was still going to the gym! well excuse me but she was 16 at the time and everyone is different! grrrrrr

Her parting comment was for me to do some tummy crunches!

I can't believe she has been pregnant herself and can be so insensitive. Don't listen to her or give her the satisfaction of knowing that her comments are upsetting you. What a cow!

really those comments are totally uncalled for - just ignore her hun.

This is my 2nd pregnancy and i can tell you the 1st tri is the MOST tiring out of them all due to morning sickness, dizzyness, off your food etc.

i wonder if there is a bit of the green eyed monster with her.......

Tel;l her to bugger off, it is well known that the 1st tri is hard work, baby is growing so quick, all those hormones etc

How rude is she! The most tiring part of my pregnancy so far was the first few months. Try to ignore her.

What a cheeky cow!

If she says anything again I would point out that it's perfectly normal to show quicker on your second baby (if you are at all) and that it's actually quite a bad idea to do stomach crunches when you're pregnant! Then tuck into a cream cake (if you can stomach it!!)

x

She has probably forgotten what it feels like she was 16 when she was first preggo and is now 53!

This is my 2nd pregnancy too, and I'm definately suffering worse this time round!

Just remembered another of her comments - didn't you do your tummy exercises after having your son! nice!

sounds just like my mother. I would say ignore her, but listen to this first. First of all in any business she has no right to talk to you like this. its bullying basically. If it happens again I would say something to her politely as in please dont talk to me like that. every woman is different in pregnancy and what I decide to do with my life and my body is up to me and not for you to decide on. If it carrys on even more then pls take it higher. you could get her sacked for that.
they cannot touch you so dont worry, just keep your cool if u go that route. they cannot dismiss you or sack you just cause ur pregnant. its the law, so stand up for yourself and fight your corner. good luck hunny and do what you want to do.

she sounds jeallous to me.

Every pregnancy is different, i was shattered for the 1st 12 weeks with no one, this one im not as bad but still tired.

As for feeling tired at 30 weeks, i was full of energy at that stage and still joggging and swimming 1km a day and up untill the day b4 i gave birth.

I would pull her to one side to have a word with her and then explain how you would be grateful if she would keep her comments to herself and if she does feel the need to comment again then think very carefully about what she is about to say. Unlike her you don't feel the need to add pressure on yourself to remain trim whilst pregnant as your self confidence is clearly greater than hers. To be honest I am amazed that with her attitude she has managed to achieve the role of Manager as clearly she aint Managing her staff in a positive way. S**t filters down.
