Just want it verfified!

Hello

I am new to this and after browsing think its an amazing site!

By my calculations I am nine weeks today and as it stands i have no formal verification - is this normal? the reasons i know are

~ 2 positive tests
~ missed 2 periods
~ feel sick and tired a lot!
~ sore boobs

etc etc

I have been to the docs but she didn't do any tests - just said a home test is just as good, and am still waiting for scan and boking in!

I am worrying i have imagined it all!

p.s as i am a larger lady it will be a while before i see my bump

look forward to speaking with you all

xx

Hi hun,

I to am a larger lady but am definatley seeing a difference. My gp did not confirm either. He said that the HPT are as accurate as anything he could do in the office. He didnt offer blood tests or anything. Just took my word for it. He referred me to the Midwifes and my appt isnt until the 2nd june when i will be 13+6. I decided to book a private scan and saw my baby move, kick and dance last week.

2 pos tests and 2 missed periods. I would say you are definatley pregnany hun. CONGRATULATIONS!

aww congrats hun! To be honest i don't think docs do any more tests to comfirm it as the HPTs are so reliable these days. My doc just said i've got to seem them at 7 weeks so they can refer me to midwife - no tests or anything!

I too am going to have a private scan when i will be 7+4 and can't wait! If you are still unsure (although by the sounds of your symptoms and missed periods there is no need to be) why not book yourself in for a scan? Mine is only about £80 and it is so worth the money to see that little bean is (hopefully) ok!!! xxx

It was great. It cost £95 but to me it was worth it. We were there for over 30 minutes watching our baby move about. It was awesome. We also came away with 12 scan pics. I will be going back as here in Scotland you only get 1 scan at 13 weeks so will book again with Babybond and pay.

Hey!! My doctor didnt do a test! She said to me that if you have had a positive test in the house then she didnt need to do one! So...when I turned up for my scan, I was half expecting to be told..."eh, ur not pregnant!!"

But it definitely sounds like you are...yaaaay! So congratulations!

My doctor just took my word for it too and did my blood pressure! I booked in with the midwife myself at the surgery and am seeing her on Friday! x

You'd think they'd at least ask to see your HPT test!!! My Dr was the same, didn't question anything and started with all the paperwork.
Had an early scan this morning at 6wks and hearing the Dr say "and there's the pregnancy" bought the biggest smile to my face!!
