Anyone had an early scan 7/8 weeks?

I'm having an early scan in little over 2 weeks and wondered what they are likely to see?

Also do we get a pic or will I have to wait until I have the 12 week scan?

I don't know what there is to see at 7-8 weeks - I think it depends on the development - they are all a little different. But my guess is you would see a little blob/bean in there!!! Also prob the hb??? But other people could tell you better - I didn't have mine until 10.5w. Also - they can see more if they do an internal - am assuming they will since it is so early?
But you can for sure get a pic!!! They just have to hit "print" whenever they get a good view.

You have to ask for a piccy hun, when you lie down just say can you have xyz number of pictures if they can get them clear enough they will, Just check your hosp though as some charge for each picture. Our hospital charge £4 per picture !

Your 12 wk scan would be better for pics really as things are better formed & easier to see, but ask anyway xx

thank you. The reason for the early scan is that I was on Clomid so I think they need to check it's viable early on. I think it will be an internal scan (had a few of those) so hoping they will still let my OH come in with me!

Yep well there's your cause then hun, & yes far as i know other half will be able to be there.I've never had an internal scan so can't say for defo but a lot of the girls on here have & i dont remember any of them saying there oh couldnt be there.

Have you contacted docs/mw yet hun? x

I had a scan at 7 weeks 4 days and here it is... You should be just fine.

They did an external scan, then an internal to verify the size?? But my OH wasn't allowed in during the internal - don't know why though. That was in Canada, other places are most likely different.

I have my scan on Thursday and i'll be 8 weeks so i'll come back and let you know

I had one when i was 6 weeks and they saw a heartbeat so you'll definitely see something.

I had one at 5 weeks 5 days and saw HB so you should see a HB x

I got 2 photographs so you just have to ask them for one x
