Went in to see doc today and was very nervous because I just wanted to be assured my little baby is safe and is where he should be. I had an ectopic before so I am very nervous.

Doctor told me it was a bit early (of course I knew this ) but he did an ultrasound anyway. He could not see anything - yet. But he could tell me that I ovulated from my right ovary which is my "good side". he also said my endometrium was thick so that was a good sign.

Anyway, he sent me to take a beta HCG test today and I should take another one in 2 days time to check if my HCG levels have doubled. Then I will go back to him and hopefully by then he will be able to tell me more.

I'm staying positive and I feel good.

Hi I had scan & blood tests done today I was very upset as by my LMP I am 6 weeks & 4 days & had hoped to see a sac/heartbeat..but hope mine will have doubled on Thurs as well........good luck will keep my fingers crossed for you

Does your doctor do HCG level tests on everyone? My doctor told me that they don't really do an HCG test. Am I being hard done by (whinge, whinge)?

No Poppy I don't think he does this with everyone. Because I had an ectopic before, he is just making sure everything is okay. Especially since he could not see the sac yet....
