Cillybean my hubby and I had the row to end all wars on Friday because he wouldnt order the pizza (friday night treat!) 10 mins early. I think when we need to eat at the mo, our bodies just SCREAM they need the food. There's no margin for waiting. My hubby just didnt get it that it wasnt about the food, it was about him not getting that I NEED IT NOW!!

Felt a bit guilty afterwards, but i dont think they get it unless we get really grumpy!!

Not very useful I'm afraid, but thought it might let you see you arent alone!
xx

This is really weird, it actually happened to me too. I mean my DH is very considerate, lovely but since we found out I am pregnant he said a couple of things I didn't like at all and he actually finished a phrase with: " you are pregnant not sick"

Well, it ended up with me closed in the bathroom crying my eyes out and I didn't speak to him for a couple of hours until I screamed at him that he was very immature and it should stop throwing the toys out of the pram

I know, I know, hormones!!! We never argue and he's so lovely normally

so glad I am not the only one...my DH actually said to me, "you're the one who wanted this" this morning when I was complaining about my morning sickness...p.s....it wasn't just me who wanted this it was both of us who tried for this for 5 months...he is just very insensitive and honestly doesn't believe any of my symptoms are real...added to that I had a lovely yeast infection that raged on for almost 3 weeks since you can't take anything during 1st tri for it!
They don't understand how bad the sickness can get and how worried we are that something will go wrong...they really have no idea what our hormones are doing to us either...to them we aren't showing so nothing must be going on...so dumb considering a human being is growing away inside of us!!!
Ah...feel a little better now that I ranted!
Hope it gets better for everyone!

Yeah, I don't think my DH 'gets it' either. To him, I look the same and am not having much sickness - so it's difficult for him to understand all the other changes I'm going through inside. Like feeling tired, having a lot on my mind, not wanting certain foods.... I don't think he'll really understand until I start to show a bit more. It's funny - men! It's like, ok - you look the same, so everything must be the same!

OMG how reassuring - have just had big fall out with Oh as was starving after swim so went to cafe. 2 yr old threw a "Mummy, Mummy" tantrum which he couldn't deal with so I had to, expecting him to order the food, he came back with a bacon & egg sandwich (I've been veggie for 22 years!!!) Result - got mad and came home hungry - I mean it's not bloody difficult is it!!?? A cheese sandwich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is becoming increasingly useless with pg and I cruelly told him to get some balls and start looking after me a bit!!! So, see, all your OHs don't know how lucky they are that they don't have this torrent of raging hormones to look after!

I really would have loved to hit him with a frying pan but my 2 year old was there...froze him out and by dinner time he was willing to go to 2 different places to satisfy my food cravings and avoid my food aversions!!!
