Prenatal Paternaty test

Hi, so i have a problem. I just found out that my gf is pregnant, thats not the problem i am extremely happy about this. What is the problem is that she cheated and I want to know if the baby will be mine or not. I've researched all types of the prenatal paternity test. Does anyone believe that the non-invasive test really work? I dont want to harm the baby. If anyone has any personal experiances or advise i would greatly appreciate it. She is six weeks and they say she is due on christmas day!

Congratulations on the pregnancy. I'm afraid I don't know anything about paternity tests but didn't want to read and run. Hopefully someone will be around soon with more info for you.

i think you should ask your doctor, and your gf. Because they can do a test when she is about 4 months and im sure they wouldnt do this test if it wasnt safe or reliable!

I'm not sure either, but I would ask your doctor. The only thing I would say is that I'm sure they will need your gf permission to do any sort of tests on her.

Is she happy to try and prove that you are the dad? Otherwise you might have to wait until it's born.

Hopefully you get some answers, and the ones you want, soon.

i was under the impression these sort of tests were better done once baby is born as there is no risk to its health what so ever.the less 'faffing about' in the womb the better in my opinion.
good luck though!
