I spent about 8 hours in hospital yesterday with a suspected ectopic pregnancy. Theyve pretty much told me that its not, but Ive got to wait until tomorrow for an 'emergency' (irony if I ever heard it) scan.

I really dont know what to do with myself!

Oh dear, I feel for you I have to go for an emergency scan this morning, The wait is horrible, i hope everything is ok and that your baby is ok. Time will soon pass and you will have your scan.

Hope everything goes well.. Isnt 10 weeks a lot to pass for ectopic pregnancy?? do you feel anything? I hear that a sign if feeling bad cramps all the time in one side and pain in the shoulder.

Ive got no idea. I dont know anything abouyt ectopic pergnancies. I was bleeding yesterday and had a terrible pain all through my stomach... made me pass out. Was doubled over with it practically all day.

I havent had a dating scan yet so Im probably not as much as 10 weeks.

Guess we just have to wait and see. Im bricking it though. Just want to know whats happening

I am very surprised they are leaving you until tomorrow if they want to rule it out with you being 10 weeks! Thats barmy!

Pain wise with an ectopic what to watch for is shoulder pain - now they have freaked you out that is. Don't look for twinges etc I mean pain that will make you cry if this happens 999.

I am guessing they just want to rule it out but I hate the way they work and scare the shit out of people.

Yeah I know. The pain was horrendous yesterday, thats the only reason I went. Ive had cramps and that during this pregnancy but the pain I had was just something else.

I guess I brought it on myself really because I did tell them I had a bit of shoulder pain, but I assumed it was just the way I was lying when Im asleep because it was only now and then. Thats when they freaked out.

No one go to St James's in Leeds. They were shocking with me yesterday, Im actually considering putting ina coplaint, but apparently theyre the only place in Leeds with an early pregnancy ward.

Oh hunnie, I don't know anything about eptopic pregnancies, but didn't want to read and run.

I dont think it is an ectopic. Im sure I would know about it. Just wait and see how tomorrow goes.

They gave me some ace pain killers though. They keep sending me off to sleep.
