I hate my job!! And I need an advise??

Ok!! Yes!! I hate my job!!!!!

It's a pretty practial job. I am an Executive Assistant.

It started like this:
I am a fresh graduate and hold a Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems. Got graduated in July 05 and married the same month and then moved to another country with my DH. DH was already working in that country, when I say that Country I mean a country here, within the Persian Gulf (I am not gona say which country though)

Well, it started like this:
I arrived to this country in August 05 and took a break to spoil my husband and my new married life. I was a very nice wife, whom used to cook everyday and clean the house. Then I started to get frustrated and wanted to work. I got this awesome job but it was a temp one but when they saw me a hardworking person, they made me a permanent employee and gave me the title of Executive Assistant which is far away from what I should be doing as in my field. The salary? I can't complaint, they pay really good here in the GUlf.

The situation is that my boss is a pain!!!!!!!!!!!!! I havent been getting along with him since he was appointed as our Director. When he moved here, he started talking about the way I dress and how unappropriate he think it is!! Excuseme?????? I am not naked!! I went to his office and discussed the issue with him.. and he pretended as if he didnt say a word, but come on, someone within the department told me ok and I am not stupid. He apologized and said that it was a misunderstanding.

U know what he said? He said that my belly is always showing and that I dress really tight clothes where the truth is that I wear long sleeve, pants, and ya they are tight, so what? I am not showing skin at work which is what matters.

It's been a nightmare since then, as if he does it in purpose, he overloads me with work, and sometimes he harassess me with stuff that he says like one he was like "I am proud to know that we have a really innnocent person like u that doesnt use her atractive part to play a role at work, I really congratulate ur husband" WTF? He played it smart.. before saying that he was like "I thought of moving you to another dept bec I though u were weak but I was mistaken but I can still do that if u dont do ur job well..".. I didnt say a thing.. and My DH when he knew? OMG u should have seen him!

I cannot sleep at night thinking and worrying about work. I dont really need to work, my husband has an amazing job with an amazing income, and he is lovely he tells me to stop when I want to.

I hate my job, hate my boss, hate waking up in the morning and now it worries me bec I am pregnant. I am almost 5 months along and have miscarried before. Would the stress I am facing affect my pregnancy? What do u girls say? should I just take a break and really take care of myself? Should I resign? I am really taking it into consideration. I wana wake up slowly and have my healthy breakfast and all, rest and sleep, give my baby what he/she needs.. I am worried and mad at the same time, I need advises?!?!?!

You shouldnt be bullied out of your job. is there like a trade union or something you can go to? Its not fair for you to be pushed out of something you used to enjoy by a bully.

If it gets too much, you could always leave if money isnt an issue. But I would fight your boss all the way. He sounds like a tosser.

But at the end of the day, dont stress yourself out. You have a baby to look after!

I dont really know what the answer is, but I hope it works out for you.

if you dont need to work i would just leave. Nothing worse than hating your job especially when your pregnant and if you've miscarried before its not worth the hassle.

Since money is not an issue, quit! Seriously life is too short to be miserable if you don't have to, especially now that you are having a baby. I just closed a boutique, which put me in to tons of debt, and since I am pregnant, I am not working. I am very lucky that my husband makes more than enough to allow me to stay home. I know that if I tried to work now, I would only find a crap job that would make me very unhappy, just like my shop did. In the end, my happiness is worth way more to my husband than money!!!

Thanks for your reply. You are right, nothing is worth more that feeling happy and comfortable. I have decided to quit and will discuss it with my director bec I cannot give short notice. I will leave this week.

thanks!

Good luck hun
As the others have said the stress is so not worth it especially as you don't need the money that you earn, but i understand that you got the job for your own independance and to stop you going stir crazy at home.

Now you have baby coming the next 4 months will fly by with all the prep you can do, enjoy time relaxing before baby comes you deserve to
