consultants appointment


i got a letter to say i have a consultants appointment... i didnt have a consultant when i was pregnant with rhys why would i have one this time???

Could be a number of reasons hun but not necessarily something to worry about. Did you ask your MW why they referred you? Give them a call.

I had an app. with one for a retroverted uterus which has since corrected itself. Could be anything really and more than likely not somethign serious as they haven't explained anything to you, so don't worry yet ok!

i just called her and shes on holiday until next week ive made an appointment to see her next week after my scan

are you in a different area ? different surgery ? it depeds on the surgery some have midwife led care and and others will have consultant led care. I had Midwfe led care where I didnt see a consulatant atall (only would have done if there was a reason)

im with the same midwife as last time and i didnt see a consultant when i was pregnant with rhys.. there is a main office in a local hospital do you think another midwife would be able to tell me why i have an appointment or would i need to speak to my midwife directly?

i did have my first booking appointment with a different midwife because mine was busy, maybe the other midwife made the appointment??

I had to see a consultant this time as I had PND last time. All I had to do wasgo in and have a chat, and they explained what help was there for me.I have to go back at 35 weeks too.
