| Ativan during early pregnancy.. worried... Hi all. Im new here.. I just found out that I am 5 to 6 weeks pregnant and I am a little concerned about having taken Ativan 0.5 mg some nights to help me sleep, since I dont know if it could have affected the baby's developing organs or brain.. I know the first trimester is the most important time for development and to try to avoid most medications, so Im not sure what to think..
It doesnt even make sense to me that I am 5 to 6 weeks along because I took a pregnancy test at home on Oct 7th and according to the blood test, I would have been at least 2 weeks pregnant when I took the home preg test and Im not sure how that wouldnt have shown up.
Well I appreciate any advice you all can give me. Thanks for your help! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | You have to have a certain level of hcg for it to show up on a test. Maybe you were still to low at 2 weeks to register. Everyones body is different. I actually drank a lot of alcohol till about 4 weeks when I found out I was pregnant and stopped. As long as you stop I think you should be fine.
Congratulations! and I wish you a happy and healthy 9 months! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I did a few things I shouldn't have when I was pregnant but didn't know about it.
You can't do anything about it now, you weren't to know and it's not your fault. Check with your doc to see if it is stillok to take it.
But if you didnt know you were pregnant, then you didnt know not to take it. So Don't feel bad! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The first few weeks the baby is still developing (like being created initially) and pretty much any cell damage you do they'll heal themselves |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think you should ask a doctor but I'm pretty sure in the first 8 weeks the cells repair themselves if they can |
