I went for my doctors appointment and I knew it would be shorter because I have already had my first big check up and I know the ones to follow are quite short. So when I went in I did my urine specimen as normal, weight, blood pressure, and then asked how I'd been feeling. Then she used the doppler to listen to babies heart rate. She said something along the lines of her wanting/thinking it will be higher in my visit it 4 weeks. I'm 13 weeks tomorrow, so shouldn't my babies heart rate already be up there? She didn't seem nervous and at the time I was in a daze thinking wow this visits only five minutes long to think anything of it at the time. I guess I'm looking for some reassurance
I'm not sure if it was because it took her a minute to find at first or what.
Sometimes doctors are just so used to doing they're jobs they are on autopilot and don't realize when a little something can be a big deal to mom.
