I'm Currently Feeling: | Blood Sugar Test? I went for my nurses interview today and she gave me my slip for blood work (to do tomorrow) and said it would take over an hour cause I have to drink this fruity sweet stuff and sit around an hour and then have blood taken? I'm assuming that's a glucose test or something...she didn't say what it was for? Anyone else take it? Just how awful does it taste?? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I liked it actually kinda tasted like orange pop lol, the only thing that bothered me was trying to drink it in 5 minutes.
I didn't get mine done til I was about 26-28 weeks though. I didn't know they tested so early in other places. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The nurse told me they test early on and then at 20-22 weeks. Maybe it's just cause I'm fat w/o a baby in me, LOL! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I believe its a routine check for all pregnancies, but I'm not 100% sure. Its not so bad but I never had it done at 8-9 weeks. PBM your a brave woman, I don't think I could handle that stuff if I was still suffering from morning sickness |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Im also overweight with family history of diabetes, so I asked on Wed when I would have mine done. They said they generaly do it at 28 weeks, but for me I dont know what they will do because Ive had prior abdomen surgery and dont think I can drink the whole thing in 5 mins. I kinda thought 28 weeks seemed long |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yea, I've had abdominal surgery..just in April of this year and drinking sweet, sugary stuff...especially that quickly and with morning (okay, all day) sickness...it's gonna end up coming out one end or the other before that hour is over and done with |
