cant find h/b

why cant i do it??????

stoopid doppler

anyone else have trouble at this stage???

sorry im just feeling a little mad with myself i SHOULD be able to do this

the best time to try is first thing in the morning before you have emptied your bladder. But rememebr they are awkward and dont always want to be found!!

I had loads of trouble finding mine babe

1st use TONS of gel if your doppler can be used with it, even better is KY as it wont dry out so fast
2nd put the doppler on your pubic bone and then aim it slightly down at an angle
3rd move it in circles really slowly, and move along the pubic bone.

My bubs likes hiding right to the left sometimes so try right the way along, good luck babe and remember dont stress its just playing games with mummy

i know with my ds he hated being listened to and would hide away and lay very still, really used to piss m/w off

I forgot to add try laying with your legs slightly raised i prop mine on the arm of the sofa with a cushion under my feet! sounds daft but gravity and all that.

Its very hard to find the heartbeat with a doppler before 13 weeks but deffinately if you want to try do what the other poster said hun. GOOD LUCK and I hope you get to here LO's HB soon.

Also try different headphones, ipod headphones are much louder, and kinda blow your ears off but they work for me!
I panicked when i couldnt find it this morning.
My best mate could find it at 20 weeks.
Its just one of those days by the sound of it!

Try not to worry chick! I saw a mw who had such trouble last week (more than half an hour with no success) that I had to have an emergency scan!!
I saw a mw yesterday and it took her 15 mins to find my little monkey and even then, we heard it for about 10 secs and s/he promptly moved and vanished again!!
