I am 25, so I don't qualify as a teen anymore, so I was wondering if there are any mature students (graduate, professional, etc?).

How are your experiences so far juggling school and pregnancy?

I'm not a student, but I'm a teacher and I'm equally in school the same amount of time. I don't know about you, but I am finding it hard to make it through the day; i.e. being tired all the time, nauseous, urinating frequently. It's so hard to juggle this and teach at the same time, but I know people do it all the time. How are you getting along? I just keep hoping the weeks will fly by until I get to a time where I feel good! LOL!

Well, I am a graduate student who only has to analyze her data and finish her goddamn thesis, but it's been really difficult in the beginning since I wasn't feelin 100%.

I talked to my Dr. and she prescribed Diclectin which has done absolute wonders.

I am usually a teaching assistant at my University, but this term I lucked out and didn't get a TAship, which I think was a blessing in disguise because I know there were mornings when I would not be able to face the class.
I am sure you know exactly what I mean.

When are you going on maternity leave from your teaching job?

Oh, I know exactly what you mean about some mornings just not being able to face the class. So far, I have been able to make it on time everyday, but there are days where I look pretty ragged and feel about the same too. Haha! I'm going to try and get through the majority of the year as long as I don't have a complicated pregnancy. I'm due May 19th, so I'm hoping since I'll have the summer off that my maternity leave won't actually start until next school year technically. I'm not sure though, those are all details to be discussed with the administrators.

Since you are doing your thesis, are you near the end of your graduate program? I wish you luck and soon we'll be having little ones to bless our lives along with school!

i'm a student, studying to be a teacher. i spend only one day a week at uni and the rest of the week in a school for teacher training. i find it really hard to stay awake all the time and nod off frequently when lectures drag on... same when i am doing class observations...

i told my tutor i am pregnant and she said i might consuider doing the training in two years instead of one. i would much rather not have to do that.

i'm teaching three courses (english comp.) and studying to get my master's degree (all i have left is to take my masters exam and to revise my master's paper) --its a struggle to study for this test and not fall asleep while doing so--- and the teaching part isnt too bad-- i just hate getting up for an 8 am course --but as long as u realize that u dont have to do everything yourself and find ways for the students to partly teach themselves it shouldnt be too hard on u ---and of course once u get into ur 2nd tri u do have more energy to teach----in my first tri i was too exhausted to do it since i taught two summer courses as well but found that by the time fall rolled around it was much easier on me and hopefully the third tri wont be so bad as i'm only a month short of the third now.. at least the worst of it will be during winter break and i can rest before coming back to teach for a month before baby is born --(im due in early feb.)
