New expectant mother needs help!

Hi

I am new to this, so would appreciate any advice from you.....

I started having brown discharge on monday, went to the docs who referred me for a scan....

I had a scan on weds and baby fine, strong heartbeat, with them confirming I was 8 weeks 5 days....

That makes me today now 9 weeks!

I am confused as I am still having some brown discharge throughout the day (no red blood just brown stuff). Though I have noticed some lumps....

Should I be concerned....?

I am due for my first visit with the midwife next weds... so I am thinking should I wait till then.... As I don't want to be at hospital everyday....

Any help / advice would be most appreciated....

It sounds like old blood, if they couldnt see anything wrong on the scan then dont worry. If you do get severe pain and fresh red blood then go straight to a and e xxx

u should ask for a urine sample to b taken.. sounds like somethin I have experienced... turned out it was water infections... they gave me antibiotics ad after 2 weeks it seems to haave cleared up greatly

Brown discharge seems to be quite common, and usually not much to worry about. You could have your Hcg and progesterone levels checked, just to make sure they are rising appropriately.

Hi, I had a brown bleed for several weeks until I was about 9/10 weeks and everything was fine! I was going out of my mind with worry of course!

So long as it is brown it is ok. That's what I kept getting told at the hospital. I had a bruise inside that was healing and as it healed the blood came away as old brown blood.

I would mention the lumps to the mw but I really don;t think you have anything to worry about - easier said than done I know!!
