palpitations

I'm 12 weeks today and been having pretty constant palpitations for over a week is anyone else getting these the doctor said they're common in pregnancy coz of the hormones and extra blood circulating but noone ever mentions them!

I try not to worry but are any of you having these too???

Yeah... I've been getting these too. It's really worrying when it happens, but apparently it's quite normal

hiya hun , i suffer with a heart condititon called sinus tachycardia my heart goes at a beat of around 120-160 beats per min also i get ''normal ''palpatations , my heart specialist advised me to lie down whenever possible when palpatations occur obviously this cant always happen (like in the supermarket lol ) i rub 1 side of my neck sometimes this regulates it , if the palps get too bad hun there is medication the dr can offer u which is safe during pregnancy xx

Thanks i wonder if it is anxiety related in the sense that i think i might make them happen more when they start.
they're a lot worse when i lay down especially morning and evening and even though i knowi shouldnt worry because they're happening so much i cant stop!

ME!!!!!!! And I felt the exact same way as you do because no one was talking about having them! I’ve had them for exactly one week now, and thye’re getting more frequent. It feels like my heart just beats ONE BEAT STRONGER than the others… and sometimes it feels totally irregular like all over the place. But when I have my hubby listen to my heart, he says it sounds perfectly steady and normal. I called my doc about it, she also said it was very common and normal, and the only thing to watch out for is when your heart starts to race really really fast, like over 150 beats per minute. My heart has sped up to 100bpm, but never any higher, so I think I’m safe.

The only other scary thing is, I think my palpitations coupled with seasonal allergies (I live in a city with tons of trees)… are making my chest congested and I involuntarily cough when I get those palpitations! A bit scary, but doctor says it’s probably normal. I do have an appointment in a week to run some tests, but I may or may not go through with it, as I don’t feel it’s dire.

I think i may get them to check me out when i go to the hospital next week for my scan just to put my mind at ease i dont remember having this when having my daughter... even though i know its fine i cant relax!

Same here with the hayfever and i'm asthmatic which has got really out of hand since being pregnant and giving up smoking so my chest is being a real problem at the moment with pain and wheezing and now these i just want it to go away so i can relax!
