Unhappy

having nightmares over this...

i'm so nervous about this right now it's unbelievable.

i had nightmares the night i found out i was pregnant that i had a scan and the sac was empty.

now i keep thinking that by the time i see a doctor they'll only tell me that it's over...

i wanted to go to the hospital and tell them that i have been having stomach pains so they'd do a blood test and tell me if the hormone levels are normal... but i left uni late and couldn't face the A&E at that time.

i need to know that everything is going ok (although i might still feel worried then, just had a miscarriage at 17 weeks two months ago !) so should i just go to the hospital and explain this to them or is it safer to "slightly exagerate" the symptoms, by fear of being sent home and told to use a hot bottle to soothe the pain ?

Honey, I am sorry you had a miscarriage , I understand your worries, I also had a miscarriage and the next time I fell pregnant I was so worried it would happen again, but it didn't.

As to going to the hospital your only 5wks, they really couldn't do anything for you, if they did a scan it would be hard to even see anything as the babies heart doesn't start to beat till around 6wks.

Maybe you could go to your DR and ask her if you can get a blood test done. Please try to relax.

I wish you a happy healthy 9mths

I am sooo sorry to see you had a loss at 17 weeks

Nothing now will ease you worrying esspecially after that - you will go for one check up (with or without porky pies) & you'll want another. After recurrent chemicals & an ectopic I was out of my mind (I think I still am just a lil more positive) .... Are they actually planning on keeping an eye on you closer, more scan etc with your previous loss? Usually they would.

Me personally - I'd tell a fib to settle my mind. Such stress and worry isn't mentally healthy for you.

I went to the OBGYN today for my first exam and because I've had two miscarriages he did an ultrasound. He couldn't really see anything besides and egg sac and I think he called it a yolk (?) but I'm not sure. He ordered blood tests to check my levels and in three days I'm going to go back and do it again to make sure they have doubled.

if i go to the hospital they might do the blood test straight away but if i go to the doctor he won't be able to do anything and i'd still have to go to the hospital anyway.

i just wanted to make sure my hormone level is normal, at least. i'm not too eager for a scan, though. i don't quite like the "internal" ones so i'd avoid them as much as possible.

during my last pregnancy i had several scans before 12wks because i had pains and i was bleeding slightly (turned out i had twins and lost the first one really early).

i hope they'll keep a closer eye on me too, though they might consider that i haven't had enough miscarriages to qualify... i'll just give the doc a call and see what happens.

Good luck! Let us know! I woke up this morning anxious about getting my blood test results back. I know that I won't get them for another 2 days at least.
