The thought has popped into my head briefly, so no I don't think you're being stupid. It's just natural - having the test done sort of suggests that you "might" have it, however remote the chances, so then you think well what if....

Just don't dwell on it, I'm sure you'll be fine

TBH all the tests scare me, even the ones that I know could not possibly be anything sinister! When i got the scary HIV leaflet through my mind thought...Oh my god what do they know!? I know it's not feasible - obviously there have been occassions in the past like everyone has, but I still know it's all fine. I think they do it to keep us awake during the times of really bad tiredness!!

OMG I thought this, and i know it seems really silly and irrational... i think perhaps it's normal... we can never rule out that we don't have it but I'm sure there's a 99.9% chance you don't. I just think being in the 1st trimester makes you negative & worried about everything without exception!!

i took all the tests they offered with my first preg, one of them being HIV. I guess i didnt think about it at all and then when i went back to hosp she said i have the results of your last blood test! and panic hit me but everything was fine but i wasnt rubella immune!!! but her face at the start made me worry for a split second!

Lol don't worry - you are the same as me (which is hopefully normal...!!) I worry about eeeeeverything!!! And the worst is when you start typing things into google, my partner has to physically stop me sometimes lol, because I just start worrying even more over the most stupid thing, and that can't be good...I'd like to take my own advice when I say try not to worry too much and try to relax!! But I'm sure most women out there are worriers! xxx

years ago i went for a check-up along with a friend to see if i had caught anything unsavoury while i was a stupid teenager

i had all the tests i could have, one of my ex's had slept with someone before me who thought that she was HIV positive, which he told me after i'd slept with him (very nice bloke obviously! lol)

the guy at the hospital said that it's actually very rare for HIV to be passed on through just sex alone, and that there's this couple who'd been married for a good few decades, one of them has HIV, the other doesn't and had never caught it off her husband - amazingly

so i wouldn't be worried!

i had all the blood tests done but declined the chlamydia one as i was forced to have it in Sept by my doc, even though i'd had one done about 6 months before i got with my OH, hadn't been with anyone since that test, OH was a virgin (obviously isn't now as he will be a daddy in about 7 months), and although i'd said that to my doc she said - well, it could have been a false negative and that could be why you're having abdominal pains

when i saw the midwife for my booking in appointment she only had half of my blood tests back, so although i'm pretty confident i'm not HIV pos, i don't know until i see her in April!

try not to worry about it *hugs*
