Thrush.

Well to cut a long story short. . .i have thrush. .

It's not bad, i suffer with the itching every few days or more.

Anyway, got prescribed Clomizol (think that's what it's called) but it says on the leaflet not to use in pregnancy. I don't want to hurt bubs in any way! It says to use it 3 to 4 times a day. :-S HELP! X

Hmmmm. And I guess a lot of the natural remedies are out as most of them involve douching, which I think is a no-no in pregnancy. Eating yoghurt containing acidophilis bacteria really helps, so you could get some of that while you're waiting to speak to your midwife. Also, adding some vinegar to your bathwater helps... I would think that would be okay in pregnancy? I'd maybe try googling "natural remedies for thrush" or something like that and see what comes up, otherwise a quick call to the midwife to find out about Canestan has to be a good bet.

She said you can't take the pills. . .but as she was the one who prescribed this, it must be ok? Right? X

Personally I would really avoid taking pills of any sort in pregnancy, unless absolutely necessary. If the Canesten cream is okay then I'd go for that, plus lots of yoghurt to balance up your insides. That's just my personal opinion, but if you've got any doubt whatsoever about taking stuff internally then I wouldn't unless your midwife completely reassures you.

Ive got this at the moment and dont mean to be crude, but using natural yogurt on your bits is a well known natural remedy
