So Scared!

Hey Girls,
Sorry i know it's late, only i just went to get ready for bed went to the toilet and (tmi) i wiped and there was blood. Well brown discharge like the end of AF.
I've called NHS direct and they said cos i've not got any pain and it's not red or clotting it doesn't sound sinister but to call the GP in the morning.
What should I do i'm really scared.
Anna

Hey babe, dont stress....honest. You only really need to worry if its bright red, fresh looking blood. I have had that even, and it was nothing. As long as you not cramping and dont have a full flow....it'll be ok. I had that 3 times over the last week and every time i stressed, but it was all good. Its probably implantation bleed and you will be ok. But if you want to tell Doc and try to get a scan for peace of mind, then do it. I did.

well i had a scan on thurday last week and the women was brutal (it was internal) i felt really sore afterwards. I'm booked back in for the 6th I'm not sure if that could have caused it cos it is "old" looking blood i'm not sure what to think.
the only thing i feel is "wind" i have IBS and had a sandwhich today which i know i shoudln't have had but that's all i can feel is my IBS windy feeling. (sorry TMI)
God this is scary

I know honey...but honestly, from what you've said, I think youll be fine. Brown is old blood and could easily have been from the internal examination. Or implantation bleeds are normal for the gestation you are at...so it could be that. On my scan, she saw a little patch of dark and said thats a small heammorhage. She said you might pass some brown blood over the next day or 2...and I did. You would honestly know if it was bad, you would be crampy and passing red blood and clots...like having AF.
Go to bed... and try to get some rest. See if you get anymore in the morning...if not you should be fine. Let me know....

I have had the same thing around implantation and than the middle of last week nothing to worry about. My gf had it through her whole pregnancy and her baby was fine. I find when i worry and stress it happens more so try and relax as hard as it is i know xoxo

I'm with the others.

When you think about all the stretching and pulling that goes on in the uterus, it shocking that everyone doesn't spot.

The blood was old blood, and there doesn't sound like there was too much.

Go to your doctors to be sure, but try not to worry.

Brown is usually old blood. Just worry if it turns pink/red!

Hi sweets, I can understand you feel worried . Try and take it easy - many girls on here have had spotting especially in early pregnancy and everything has been fine. As far as I have been able to tell from what I read, generally cramping accompanied by bleeding is more a cause for concern. Get yourself checked out, but please try not to worry too much (easier said than done - I know!). Let us know how you get on.

xx
