Baby things

this isn't one of those when do you start buying threads, but then again, maybe it is, i dunno lol

last summer me and my fella went to St Ives for the day (the one in west cornwall, not cambridge) and there's this shop called tiny p's (short for tiny penis) and they sell lots of funny t-shirts, and they have a lil kids range too, my fella wants to get the one that reads "they shake me" http://www.tiny-penis.co.uk/index.ph...d-s-tees/id/5/

which is funny, and kinda not

he wants to go buy it on friday, then we were gonna wait, but now i kinda wanna go get it coz it is just so funny!

also, does anyone or someone in their family knit?

my mum knits loads (toys, baby cardi's booties etc...) just because she loves it, i told her that i was pregnant the day after i found out (which i got shit for coz i'd kept it from her for over a day!) and then the other week she pulls out her needles and asks what i think it is, i said a cardi coz she loves knitting them for people who are gonna pop a sprog, but no, it's a blanket for a cot or a pram (and it's gorgeous) i asked if it was for me, she says no, it's far too early to knit for me yet, then last week when i asked again it i was told that it IS for my wee baba

so i'm kinda shocked that she broke the rules she set on me, like not telling anyone (she's like me and can't keep her mouth shut) and not buying anything (although she's not bought anything, just using up old wool and trying out a really old pattern from woolies that she found when she was looking for something else)

this post really wasn't meant to be this long, and i dread to think the state of my punctuation, but my fingers can't keep up with my thoughts

so, funny slogan t-shirts for baby - funny, or not so funny?

and knitted items - yay or nay?

Personally, I love funny T-shirts on babies, and I'm trying to find a site which does them for pregnant women too.. I got one for my Hub which has a picture of a woman's egg with a target round it, and a sperm with an arrow for a head with the slogan "he shoots, he scores" and he LOVES it!
I do have a bit of a thing for humour which others would call sick humour.. like i love sickipedia!

As for knitting. I wish I wish I wish I could remember how to knit. My Nan taught me when I was about 6, but I have totally forgotten. I am really hoping that my MIL knits me some cardies and a couple of blankets/shawls cos I think there is nothing nicer than something an elder member of the family has handmade... its a real heirloom in my opinion.
My mum made a christening gown for my brother, and he, both my kids and my nephew have worn it so far. It makes it more special

i'm glad that we're not the only ones who love it, we've decided to go and buy it on Friday when we get paid (i wanna get a different one for my friend who's 8 weeks ahead of me, but not sure which one yet)

and i love the idea of that t-shirt too where did you find it??

the funniest t-shirt i've found, which isn't really that funny, but pretty apt for me, was in New Look and the slogan was - shopping for two, but there maternity range sucks at the moment
