How many cans of coke a day?

Wow, up to 8 cans! That's brilliant. Dr Pepper is my thing at the minute, as well as Slush Puppies

But I didn't think I could drink much of it, so have been holding back!

I was told dont drink caffeine. I love diet coke but I had to change to caffeine free diet
coke.

That shocks me.

Next time you speak with your midwife, I would ask how much nutrition training she has had. No nutritionist would recommend that an individual, pregnant or not, drink 8 cans of coke a day.

Caffeine aside, what about the sugar?

There are about 8 teaspoons of sugar in a can of coke. Times that by 8 and that is crazy. Add to that number all the other sugary treats we eat and carbs from crackers, and a woman could find herself with a nice case of gestational diabetes, and excessive weight gain.

Also, coke leaches calcium from your bones.

And, an 8 oz serving of coke is 105 calories, times that by 8 and that is roughly and third of ones daily calories, with no real nutrition.

Hey, I think I might have a Dr. Pepper myself tonight, on ice...but eight cans of it???

Moderation! You can have a Coke, just not 8 cokes, haha! Or here is what I did when I craved Pepsi - I bought the small cans, I think they are 8oz instead of 16oz. Sometimes you just need a taste! Or, buy a bottle and have a small, juice sized glass.

I also have 1 cup, and one cup only, of coffee a day.

Totally agree...Here in the states they have 100 cal cans of coke, I would try to stick to those! I wouldn't worry as much about the caffeine as all the sugar in them. Don't get me wrong, I love coke too, but 8 cans a day is waaaaaayyyy too much! Save your calories for fruit, veggies and protein!
