HcG levels-NEW UPDATE- I am miscarrying

Hey girls, I am really hoping someone can give me some reassurance here...

I was admitted to the hospital last night because I couldn't stop throwing up. They were able to get me back to normal, and I'm home now, but I'm a little worried about my HcG readings. I got my first on Saturday, and when they tested my levels yesterday (2 days later) they said it was 21. They tested again today and it was still 21. I still feel pg, temp is still up, but I'm concerned that my HcG is not going up like it should. I know my tests were for 20ml/u, shouldn't it have gone up at least a little by now? I don't go to the doc again until Friday and I'm worried.

Anyone else had anything similar happen? Maybe being so sick just stalled my levels and they will start going up? Please help, I need some reassurance. BTW, I am literally 4 weeks today, so still very early in the game.

Thank you, I don't know if I can get into the doc early, I will probably just wait until Friday. I'm not totally panicking because I am not bleeding at all, no cramps, but getting so sick that I had to be admitted last night. That in itself is not worrisome only because I have a history of vomiting attacks (loooong story). The last time I was in the hospital for vomiting it delayed my ovulation by almost a week, so maybe being sick just stalled my little bean? This is my first pregnancy and I think I know a little too much for my own good.

You need them to run another quantitative on you ASAP to make sure their results were correct. Some office do not consider an HCG under 25 to be pregnant, but that could be explained as it being very very early.

Thanks V, the hospital I went to doesn't really treat pg women, so they may not really know what they were doing, and they were really busy, so all they really wanted to do at that point was get me to stop vomiting. I know I am super early, just tested positive 3 days ago. I have an appt on Friday morning but should I go before then?

I think you should try to get in earlier if you can. I am not writing this to scare you or to make you worry but my sister had HCG levels that weren't rising properly with both of her etopic (tubal) pregnancies. I am not saying that this is what is going on with you but it is always better to err on the side of safety. I really hope everything if perfectly fine. Keep a PMA!

I think you girls are right, I will get another blood test first thing in the morning. Trying to keep a positive attitude but the whole thing is still disconcerting.

Thank you so much girls, it helps to have some support in the digital world! Luckily I have lots of friends and family here for me too...

In the meantime I am drinking lots of Smartwater...I want to make sure I am nice and hydrated for my blood draw. A nice smoothie sounds excellent, I think I'll get one of those too. I was thinking I would go out in the morning and pick up a late result HPT that detects at 50ml/u and see what that says. I was so dehydrated last night, I was getting so sick, but the good news is I was able to get into the ER pretty quickly. They gave me IV fluids and something called a "banana bag" loaded with vits. TMI but I could actually smell the vits in my pee!

OK waaaay TMI there but whatever keeps my mind at ease at the moment. Thanks all, you can be sure to see an update soon. Thank you again, you ladies are the best!
