Hi hon, I know you're trying to be helpful but this is absolutely not true. Your Dr is very mistaken. A single # does not mean anything, it all has to do with how fast it rises. I'm sorry to call this out but I don't want anyone else to see this and get the wrong idea. I do appreciate your well wishes though. From americanpregnancy.org:

Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy: hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :
  • 3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
  • 4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
  • 5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
  • 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
  • 7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
  • 9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
  • 13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
  • 17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
  • 25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
  • Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
  • Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml

I had my Hcg level taken again today and it is down to 49 from 62 on Friday. To say I am heartbroken is an understatement. My temp is still up, breasts are still swollen, no cramping or bleeding, but this is terrible news. My mom and DH are saying there is still a chance but obviously I am preparing for the worst.

Thank you girls, I am doing a little better. I , and I was afraid of this from the beginning as soon as I had my puke attack and ended up in the hospital. The awful part is not knowing what's going on...I have only very mild cramping, not like AF, they truly feel like growing pains, totally normal from what I've read. No bleeding, temp is still up...I still have slight symptoms, but they are not really progressing. If it's going to fail then why doesn't it just fail and just get the again? It feels like this is a long, drawn out chemical or something.

I don't want to be negative but I will be very surprised if this turns into a happy ending...I am very lucky my husband is booking a weekend in Palm Springs so we can get away. The stress of this past 10 days has been terrible, I think getting away will do us both some good. Is that awful of me to be selfish like this? If by chance some miracle happened and it was a lab error or something, I will let you all know.

Thank you girls for all your support, I've fallen off my bike but I will get back on it.
to everyone!

really happy to hear you are planning on a holiday hon That sounds like a really good idea.

Honey - it can sometimes take a long time for AF to come - unfortunately. I had a little bleed with my first miscarriage at 18 DPO, but AF did not come for another 3 weeks. Not knowing what is going on was the worst part for me. I know you are going to get right back on that bike! I have heard some women say that they've ovulated even before AF. And it is definitely true that our bodies are more fertile after a miscarriage

Enjoy Palm Springs honey.
