I know this may sound stupid but here goes.

If OH takes medication that is not safe for the baby and then we

with no contraception would his

carry the medication near to the baby possibly causing harm? sorry if i sound thick im just wondering

I would guess not as baby is protected by water and sac but not 100% sure hun . x .

I don't think it would be unsafe for the baby.. when you have sex & you're not pregnant I'm pretty sure he can't transfer the medicine to you, so I don't see why it would be different for baby

Even if it did I'm sure there's not very much medicine in his spunk (lol) anyway.

I'm pretty certain that nothing gets past your cervix once you are pregnant, so even if there was any medication (which I don't think there would be) in the

it wouldn't get anywhere near baby.

I think it's okay.

My doctor told me that sex, and ejaculation wouldn't harm my baby. She never mentioned anything about if my DH was on any drugs, but I'm sure if it was a huge deal, she would have asked.

No. The chance of something getting into seminal fluid is tiny, and even if some did it would be minescule amounts, so tiny it wouldn't even be noticed if tested. Then the chances of something getting through that mucus plug sealing off your cervix is even smaller. And crossing the membranes even smaller still.

I am assuming you are talking about prescribed drugs and not them other sort of which we would all say 'get rid of him!'

i've never really thought abt it til now but i'd say no...dunno if medication can even get into sperm (i'm guessing it doesn't) but surely the mucus plug would stop the sperm getting near the baby anyway?
