getting rid of animals

i was just wondering how many of you got rid of animals when your child was born. (cats especially)

i'm definately not gonna, i am just curious!!

also, for those of you who kept your cats, how did you make it safe for your cat and your baby in your home? and was you kitty jealous??

No kept all mine. The cats didn't bother when Seren got here, only started getting annoyed when she was able to yank on their ears/tail but they didn't get funny. As for making it safe, I didn't really do anyhting, and just treated them as normal.

that's good cuz i've seen alot of people get rid of them simply because they don't have time for them or they are afraid that the kid would get hurt from the animals and i think it's crazy.
my husband keep/breed snakes and has over 20 of them and he keep them well locked. he also has a burmese python that can get well over 10 feet long and could weight nearly to over 100 pounds. i am not even worry about this. he knows what he doing

seriously, my cat WAS my baby before that pink crying thing came along. lol I let her sniff the baby and taste her a few times. lol She never bothered the baby more than licking some milk off her legs :0)
