Anyone making an Xmas announcement to family/friends?

I feel like listening to a good story!!! Has anyone planned on actually telling people their pregnant for example, or the sex of the baby or something on Xmas day? I have obviously already indulged my family and friends but I want to know if anyone has any stories about what their plans are!!

We told onl our Parents and siblings at 6 weeks which seems like a lifetime ago.
We decided we didn't want to say "oh by the way were going to be parents", so instead we went to Mothercare and bought 2 baby grows. Wrapped both up in tissue paper and put them into individual gift bags then when parents were sitting down (did this at separate houses) we gave thm the gift bags and said... "We saw this and thought of you. Hope you like it"

We are telling the rest of my family on xmas day and same with his family... All we plan to do is drop in to conversation... "did you see what we bought mum and dad the other week?"
