i last had sex w/ my girlfriend on may 22. and i had sex more or less every day for a week before that. my girlfriend had her period on may 20. we had sex on the 20th and 21 and 22nd. so while she had her period. *condoms used every time

she called me tonight and told me her breasts feel sore. she said they started feeling sore a week or 2 ago. so like 1-2 weeks after we last had sex. she had her period around the last time we had sex.

can u get pregnant if u have sex while it's during her period (bleeding all over) what else could cause sore breasts, other than pregnancy?

another thing, how long after sex/fertilization can u get a safe abortion? i don't want abortion to end up in infertility

The answer is yes, you can get pregnant during your period, but its very rare. Lots of things can cause sore breasts, such as them growing, her being on the pill (is she?) anything. She could have bumped them, or even have a bra that doesn't fit right.

It depends on what country you are in, but most countries will allow an abortion if you're only a month or two along. Abortion has not been linked to infertility, as long as it is done by a qualified professional, and the proper care is taken during and after the proceedure. She needs to see a counsellor and make the decison for herself.

You as the father actually have no rights in the matter. Make sure she knows you will support whatever decision she chooses to make. Probably not a good idea to suggest abortion to her because she may feel like you're pressuring her. The best thing to do is go to a family planning centre together and have an appointment with a counsellor. Then you can both talk about your feelings and get all the facts you need. You can both ask all the questions you need to ask there.

thanks for your replies. i'm just kinda looking far ahead here, and yes, i know it's not my decision, and i support w/e she wants to do. we don't know if she's pregnant yet or not.

she doesn't get her period until a week or so from now, so we'll get an ept done soon after.

she said that her breasts started feeling sore 2 weeks ago, so 1-2 weeks after we last had sex. normally they're supposed to be sore right before her period right? that's what worries me.

we used a condom each and every time. properly. it didn't break or anything...

and another thing. i'm looking online at things u can tell are supposed to happen when a woman's pregnant (nausea, frequent urination, high body temp, sensitive to smell, etc). my girlfriend say's she hasn't noticed anything else, except for the sore breasts.

are the breasts supposed to be really sore? does slightly sore count? how sore is pregnancy sore?

Unfortunately everyone is different so there isn't really an answer for it. When she's late for her period you can test then, and thats the only way of knowing really.

Did you ever find out if she was preg.?

she told me she had/is having her period yesterday. and it's not just like vaginal bleeding because she felt the normal cramp-like things a few days before. we're going to get a preg test after her periods over, so in the next week or so.

but it looks like she's not pregnant. she never had any of those other signs of pregnancy, and now she has her period.
