pregancy and toothache


Hi i was wondering if anybody knows what medicine it is safe to take when pregnant if you have toothache. I am pregnant and the last three days i have had terrible toothache, but i haven't taken anything cos i don't want to harm the baby, the toothache keeps me awake at night. Please help

Paracetamol is safe to take

Not sure if there is any. I know theres some stuff that can be dangerous in pregnancy.
What about a warm wheat cusion and hold it to your face on the side where the pain is.

paracetmol and a hot water bottle may help, hope it gets better soon !!

i am a dental nurse and it sounds like an infection if its keeping u awake at night...u should call the dentist and get it checked out, try paracetamol.
oil of cloves is used for toothache but really not sure if its safe in pregnancy try google it? x

just looked it up and clove oil is not safe in pregnancy.....see yr dentist x

See your dentist ASAP you can be treated in pregnancy

You could try bonjela..that stuff is amazing!!
I had toothache with my first and it turned out to be an infection ... if you go to the dentist whilst you are pregnant or before your baby hits one, you get it on the NHS so will save u some money than if you wait xx
