What about this? I think they're lovely...you've got to think that travel cot mattress would be ok anyway as moses basket mattress is only thin foam anyway. So you could always go down travel cot route.

Or this...oh I want one so much for living room in day time!

We've bought a Graco Coutour Electra Travel Cot http://www.graco.co.uk/en_GB/product/9D99/008/

We're going to use that in the bedroom for the first few months as it has a bassinet that can be used for newborns. They also sell it in the petite version too if space is tight

I didn't want to spend money on items that would only get a few months use and when LO goes into his own room into a cotbed, we'll use the travel cot for when we go and stay with friends / family or as a playpen (if we need to).

xx

your going to have to have a cot in your room at some point lol!!!! We are in a one bed flat and not a very big one either and we cant afford a bigger place and council wont help us! So we are going to have to have a massive move around so we can fit things in after its more important my son has a bed than me having a dressing table lol

If you go for a travel cot i would get one with a bassinet as a normal travel cot is big and quite sparse. It is also a long way down and the baby sleeps close to the floor. I had a moses basket last time and didn't like using it so we have decided to get a crib this time for our room, as like you have space issues.
I only ever used my mamas and papas travel cot for holidays and on the rare occasions that kian slept at my parents.
They are quite big and bulky from what i remember and don't look very comfy.
If i was you i would go and have a look at some to help you decide.
