duplicates???? Just wondering how your gonna work that?

A baby shower never crossed my mind on my first tbh. Both my parent ssaid they will buy one 'big' thing, so my dad bought the buggy and my mum bought the cot, they bought loads of clothes too just asking me what size I wanted. OH and I bought everything else ourselves. We had so many gifts after we had her though it was ridiculous lol, personally im glad I didnt request certain things cos majority of gifts I had were stuff I would never even of thought of buying but they were all lush!!!

its a good idea. you do get a lot of people asking what you need after bubba comes and to be honest you wont need much, or al least wont be able to think of anything. But you will have a lot of clothes that bubba will wear once, cos you have too many and doubles of tings that you have to take back to exchange.
A lot of my family and friends bought different ages in clothes so I know I will be ok for a while, but I still had too many newborn stuff, 0-3 mths stuff (Oscar has already outgrown) and doubles.
I ended up asking for vouchers.
some people gave moiney, that was nice 'cos I am sending it to his child trust fund.
