Lucozade??

Hi Ladies,

Tomorrow is a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG day for us, we're helping with an event which means I'll be up at 7:30am, travelling for over a hour and then busy all day, I probably won't be back until past Midnight and since I'm almost 35 weeks pregnant and can barely keep my eyes open for longer than six hours at the moment I was wondering how safe it would be to drink Lucozade. I know it's sort of an energy drink, but not in the same way as Red Bull and Relentless etc

I need something to keep me awake that I can easily carry around and thought this would be a good idea, but wanted to check it was safe first. Any ideas?

its fine to drink in pregnancy hun in fact they give it to you during the gtt blood test lol, my MW also reccomends drinking it when in labour

I had it all through the first tri and even part of this one, only reason im not having it much anymore is because i can just about manage without it lol, i dont think it has too much caffeine in it unlike red bull drinks x

I've had gastroenteritis this week lived off it all week while I couldn't eat.

And Lynnikins, you got Lucozade for your GTT? I had some horrible sugary orange stuff, I think I must have been given the 'home brand' version LOL

Small bottles of Lucozade here are like $8

They're imported from the UK...same as Ribena... I could nom either of those right now!! I just can't justify spending 10x as much on something I could get in the UK when I'm over there

Maybe something I could get DH to get me for labour!!

some places give you lucozade some you get the orangy drink which is yes like their home brand of lucozade hun .

On another note i worshipped lucozade when pregnant , slurp away hun oh & hope your day goes ok hun xx
