This is probably a stupid question, but...

Are pregnant women allowed to give blood? My school is having a blood drive in a few weeks, and I wanted to do it. But I'm not sure if it's such a good idea with me being pregnant and all....what do you guys think?

its probably because of the hormones in our blood, i mean you wouldn't want a 80 year old woman thinking shes pregnant

it is becasue the baby and you need all the blood you have, donating causes oxygen levels to dip and you can feel very faint afterwards
they also make you wait 9 months for you to fully recover from the birth, and have everything go back to normal, particularly your iron levels
