Pre Eclampsia.....twice?

Does anyone know if you can get Pre E twice?

I had it in my first pregnancy the day my water borke....not until 930 PM and was put on magnesium suffate and induced, etc., etc.

I was under the impression, as I am sure my doc said so, that you can't get it twice!!!! Can you?

Would it be something that your doc could sign you off from work early for if it happened?

I am naturally a very high strung person but my job is VERY stressful right now (for more reasons than one) and I am worried about it causing me to have high blood pressure...and causing unwanted stress while I am pregnant!

Hi, i had it with my son. I had it severe as it started at 23 weeks. I was told by the doctor that you CAN get it again, but the next time would not be as bad as the first.. I am pregnant again and praying it does not happen to me again ( i was hospitalised at 23 weeks)..

You too hun. X I would think the doctor could sign you off if it happened though! Maybe think about leaving work a little earlier if it is stressful ?

Yes you can get it again, but I have been told it should not be as bad if you do.
I'm hoping so anyway!
I had it with my son (will be 5 when LO is born) he was born a month early by E.Section as I collapsed and fitted when i took myself to a+e 'not feeling right', a week after my MW ''your BP a little high, nothing to worry about''

I really want to have a natural birth so plan on having all shopping done by the end of the 7th month so I can relax and do nothing! Lol keep my BP down.
