MIL'S and your pregnancy. Excited or..?

How do your mother in law acts around you? Is she excited and always asking how you feel and everything? In my case we see eachother rare but she never asks how I feel, how my pregnancy is going.. we are on good terms i just don't know why that is happening

Maybe because of my DH's little daughter(7) and all attention is on her since shes the only child? Or maybe MIL is afraid of that the baby will take that attention from her, i just don't know what the deal is

I just feel like she doesnt realize im pregnant when im around her

my mom on the other side is oh so excited and just makes me feel so nice, I just wish MIL was like that too..

With my first my MIL was very interested (in the baby might I add, not me!) She was always asking to feel the baby kick and asking about names etc, although I dont think she once asked how I was feeling! She was at the birth too.

With this one she doesnt even know my due date! Couldnt be less bothered about it if she tried!

my MIL is always way more interested in DH and how hes "coping" when she calls although she does ask about me the baby and DS it seems like its more from obligation though

My MIL knew but never ever discussed it apart from "when are you going back to work?" nosy!

then i had LO and she is far too interfering! cant win!

Mine likes showing off to other people but since I've been pregnant she has only asked me once how I am. Even after coming out of hospital at the beginning of the week she hasn't even asked how I am- she just called OH to see if we were still going to a dance that she has arranged and when she will get the money for it.

My MIL is over-excited. We had kittens last year and she had 2 of them, if we where having twins I think she would want to keep one of them! And she is gonna be our second birth partner.

My MIL never really appears interested at all. She never really asks how I am feeling, anything much about the baby. The most I get is she's constantly saying "that poor baby" about one thing or another - either if I haven't eaten anything for a while, or the most recent is when we bought the tummy tub, she thinks it's cruel! Me and OH now joke about "that poor baby" but it does get a bit tiresome!! I think when the baby is here she will be totally different, but I do wish we had a bit of enthusiasm sometimes!! x

My MIL always ask how I am when she sees me. She is paying for the buggy and she is telling pretty much everyone she talks to that she is going to be a granny!

She loves my son like family and even heard her telling a customer he was her grandson I'm so glad I've got a great MIL

MIL doesn't know yet, i know that she will be happy for us but we are the last out of H's brother and sister to have a baby so the excitement will be less (I noticed this when I was pregnant last year) im sure she will be as supportive as she can from 2 hrs away lol
