this is my first post of something like this , and im not sure ive posted in the right part of the forum , forgive me if its wrong

anyways , me and my hubby been trying for a baby for 6 years now with no success and no explanation why we haventbeen able to . for the last week i felt slightly unwell and had a dream where i did a pregnancy test , so the next morning i went to asda and bought a twin pack of there tests , both came back positive ........... later in te day i sent the hubby off to boots and he cam eback with there digital tests a twin pack again both them were positive .............. tonight we have had a twin pack of clearblue digital tests the ones where they tell you how far you are and the 1 of them i did is positive ( i know all these tests might be over kill !!!!)

anyways im at the doctors friday morning but its all really frustrating im trying not to be excited just incase but 5 positive tests must be a good sign ??????? theres not much chance there all wrong is there ?????????? i think im over reacting already as we been trying 6 years

advice please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like congratulations are in order!!!
Docs generally don't bother doing a test (mine didn't) and just throw you into the antenatal system - I never had to do another pregnancy test other than that which I did at home. Reason being - THEY ARE SO DAMN ACCURATE!!!

Very happy for you!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

False negatives are fairly common mostly due to timing issues, false positives very rare and so nowadays Drs generally don't test. I didn't go to my Dr, I just called the surgery and booked in with the midwife. Have you worked out how far along you are? It's likely your GP will simply give you a contact for the midwife and the midwife will go through family medical histories (you and your partner) and answer any questions.

Congrats! I don't think it would be possible to get that many false positives!

When you go to your dr and arrange your prenatal visit, they will ask for your medical histroy.

Perfectly normal to be anxious. And to be honest it doesn't really go away!

Congratulations to you and hubby!

I don't think all those tests could be wrong! Pregnancy tests manufacturers make a fortune out of us ladies don't they? Has anyone ever done just one test and trusted it?

Don't expect much from the GP, i never think they show much interest to be honest

You should have an appointment with Midwife within a few weeks, and if you're unsure of dates then GP may refer you for an early scan.

Congrats again xxx
