Hello, I would like to buy a book for my OH. He doesn't seem to have a clue what the hell is going on with me so I feel this may help him.. any good titles?

Hi!

I bought my hubby one but its a funny guided to babies but is very informative all the same.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-Owners-...5751976&sr=8-1

I know there are so many on the market but i had a flick through and thought he would prefer something like this that puts a bit of humour into caring for a baby. Made it easier to read than the others I saw.

Hope you find one that will suit.

Emma.xx

I bought the Baby Owner's Manual that elmaxie recommended for my hubby, along with this one which is really entertaining: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Be-Prepared-...dp/0743251547/

I also got this one which is quite good: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fathers-Alma...dp/0385426259/

I got DH this for Christmas:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Father-M...6004354&sr=1-1

It's written from a dad's point of view and explains about pregnancy as well as the first year with info on all sorts of things, including introducing a pet to the baby, routines, signs of postnatal depression and dealing with visitors when you first get home with the baby.

x

My husband bought From Here to Paternity when I was pregnant the first time. He really liked it and so I read it too and I found the couple really hateful and the book quite useless but it did seem to give my OH an insight into all the embarassing bits of pregnancy without me having to spell everything out to him...

Good luck - I would suggest letting him chose for himself though as he'll know what kind of books he likes...

We got the sequel to this one and my husband thought it was pretty good. Here's a link to the Expecting one:

The BBC did a programme some time ago called 'he's having a baby' and there is a book of the same title. The reviews I've read on Amazon were all pretty good though I havent' bought it yet, it is the one I would buy. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hes-Having-B...6111354&sr=8-1 They have it at my local library too so OH might borrow it instead. SOme of the others, like 'a blokes guide to pregnancy' are reported to be a bit moronic and aimed at 'lads' http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blokes-Guide...6111493&sr=8-1

I've just ordered the He's having a baby book for my hubbi (to keep him amused if he has any spare tiem while in Afghanistan!) Bought it from play.com for £2.09 (used) not bad for a hardback book, thanks for the recommendation, will let you know my thoughts when it arrives! xx
