Membrane sweep?

Anyone had a membrane sweep? Did it worked? after how long you went into labor?

I just had one, I'm in so much pain ! I hope it's a good sign.

I have been told I will get one of these next Thurs if my LO hasnt made an appearance on their own by then.

Not sure if I want one to be honest though as I hear it can leave you pretty uncomfortable and doesnt always kick things off. Would rather just be induced but not sure what options I'll be offered.

i have had one in two of my pregnancies and never found them painfull. i was told by the midwife to walk about ALOT after to get things moving and each time it set my labour off, also they dont effect the lenght of your labour(as in make it any longer) as the last time i was only in labour from start to finis for 3 an half hours

I'd say it took about 2 hours to get intense, then 1 hour of very intense (but all bearable... no meds...) and 1h45min of pushing.

Good luck and keep us informed!
