Car seat to fit Y(2001) reg Ford Fiesta?

Im hoping someone can help, we have a Y reg ford fiesta and we are having trouble finding a car seat/base to fit.

Does anyone else have a ford fiesta? Any luck finding a seat to fit?

I haven't got a seat yet, but thought you could just go into halfords or mothercare and they can search a database to see which ones are compatible?

if you have a wee google other manufacturers may have a similar compatibility thing hun - why are you having so many probs? is it the shape of the seats preventing the seat going in?

used to have a 98 fiesta and maxi cosi fitted fine as long as u buy the base otherwise the seat belt wasnt long enough. maxi cosi on their website have a similar compatibility option to say whether it fits your car and highlights which seats u can put it on x

We have a Wreg fiesta and I am just about to try my M+P car seat and base.
I got the seat and base free so I hope it fits!
I'm sure I read somewhere else that someone had the M+P seat and base and it was fine, but they had struggle fitting a seat with no base.

I am hoping the isofix thing from maxi cosi fits as that's what we were planning on getting! I didn't even think it might not think

We got the maxi-cosi easy base in the end which fits fine

The isofix one should fit as long as your car has isofix (only newer cars will have isofix and even then isofix is not always fitted as standard) so check that first then maybe pop into halfords just to make sure. I'd recommend halfords....we went to babiesrus first but they weren't as helpful.

Sorry to hijack the post but what about if you've already bought your car seat as part of a travel system, how do you know if it will fit your car?

I've got an o'baby car seat and a 52 plate corsa, will I be ok or do I need to find a base to go with it?

Hi! The best thing to do is take your car and car seat to halfords and ask them to check it for you. They were very helpful and if there are any probs with it fitting then they can advise you on base options etc. xx
