No where did I say that 'c-sectons' were an 'easy way out' I just think they should be kept for their purpose. Emergencies.

I totally agree with you, wasnt refering to you hun, was just saying in general
It just amazes me how anyone would WANT to go through major abdominal surgery, and like i said after experiencing both, in my opinion a vaginal birth is so much better, especially recovery-wise!

I wasn't sure but I just wanted to make that clear I really do not understand either. I'd prefer a vaginal birth as well because of the recovery. Plus I have a 2 & 1/2 year old, so I need to be mobile. Everything I said like yourself is in my opinion.

I realize this is a very old thread but I found it very interesting. I didn't thinḱ it was my place to start a thread since I'm not even pregnant yet but I would very much like to hear the rest of the opinions of the ladies of this board.

Personally I will want an elective C-section and I loathe the whole campaign against being too-posh-to-push and find that sort of peer pressure disgusting more so as it has very little else than emotions in terms of grounding. In Sweden -and increasingly more European countries- it is becoming really tedious and the moral pressure women are subject to simply because they wish to do with their bodies as they see fit is mounting to the point that political correctness engulfs the topic and no one touches it anymore. What is it like where you are?
